One day before the start of the 2025 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship, Sportdeutschland.TV is providing a special kick-off: On Friday, May 9, the sports streaming platform will broadcast an exclusive live conference free of charge - both on its own platform and on the official YouTube channel.

Two top-class games will be shown at the start of the World Championship: Sweden vs Slovakia and Denmark vs USA. The conference will be commentated by the top duo Christoph Fetzer and Christian Ehrhoff, silver medalist at the 2018 Winter Olympics - a combination of expertise, experience and genuine passion for ice hockey. All ice hockey fans can look forward to a real highlight at the start of the World Championships - live, exclusive and free-to-air on Sportdeutschland.TV!

A special highlight: for the first time, Sportdeutschland.TV will be broadcasting from a brand new TV studio - realized together with the long-standing platform partner BarmeniaGothaer.
