Men's Handball World Championship 2025: All 108 matches, including at least 85 exclusive matches, live conferences and top experts - only on Sportdeutschland.TV
The year 2025 begins with a significant sporting highlight, the Men's World Handball Championship. From 14 January to 2 February, all 108 games of the World Championship will be broadcasted LIVE on Sportdeutschland.TV. The sports streaming provider will offer its usual comprehensive entertainment package for all handball fans in Germany and is bringing together a top team of experienced commentators and experts on its own platform.
Broadcast concept and model
All 108 matches of the World Handball Championship are only available on the online sports channel, where handball fans won't miss a single decision or exciting moment. The innovative and exclusive live conference on Sportdeutschland.TV is the main reason for this. During the preliminary and main rounds, there will be at least one live conference per day, in which a duo of commentator and expert will cover all parallel matches. This will make the handball experience on Sportdeutschland.TV even more attractive and exciting for all fans of the World Championship.
All matches of the DHB selection and other highlight matches will also be commentated individually. This provides the viewer with the option of selecting the broadcast to which they wish to follow. All World Cup matches will be available as a video-on-demand afterwards. The online broadcaster also offers highlight summaries of all matches on its YouTube channel.
Three former DHB-stars taking parts as experts
Paul Drux, a 127-time international player, is appearing as an expert on Sportdeutschland.TV for the first time. The 29-year-old only ended his active career in October and was part of the DHB squad until recently. Silvio Heinevetter, former DHB goalkeeper and medallist at the 2016 Olympic Games, is also part of the expert team. This is the 40-year-old's first appearance on Sportdeutschland.TV. The trio of experts is completed by former national team player Ina Großmann. The former DHB left winger is a well-known and popular face on the sports streaming platform, most recently appearing at the Women's European Championship in December.
The commentator's chair is also filled with handball expertise., with Dennis Baier as a newcomer on Sportdeutschland.TV. With Tobias Schimon, Maik Thiele and Ulf Kahmke, handball fans can look forward to three commentators who have already accompanied the World Cup broadcasts on Sportdeutschland.TV in the past. In addition to the seven-strong team, there will naturally also be some exciting guests from the world of sport who will be part of the broadcasts.
Sportdeutschland.TV: One-time payment, no subscription
Only on Sportdeutschland.TV users pay only for what they want to watch. Without a subscription, without additional costs and without any kind of renewal. This also applies to the 2025 Men's World Handball Championship.
To be able to watch the full programme and all matches in full length live and on demand, Sportdeutschland.TV is offering users a tournament pass for just 15.00€. As usual, individual matches can also be purchased.
