The effect® Energy German Football League is kicking off the 2026 season, and Sporteurope.TV will once again be the home of Germany’s top American football league. Saturday, 9 May, marks the official kick-off of the new season, which is already the fourth joint season between the GFL and the pan-European sports streaming platform.

Fans can look forward to the first highlight right from the start: Sporteurope.TV kicks off with a major, free live broadcast, commentated by Carsten Spengemann and Roman Motzkus.

As usual, the sports streaming provider will broadcast all matches of the entire season live and individually. In line with established standards, all matches will be broadcast from all venues with at least three camera angles and live commentary. In addition, all fans of the effect® Energy GFL can look forward to scoring plays from all matches and the option to stream full matches on demand. Sporteurope.TV, together with its social media channels, thus forms the hub of all content.

Together with the GFL e.V. league association, the live presence of the effect® Energy GFL will also be further expanded in the 2026 season. For the first time, 15 live conferences will be produced, a significant step for the visibility of the league and the sport.
