Now the platform is opening the most important chapter in its history: Sportdeutschland.TV is becoming Sporteurope.TV. This step not only represents a further development of the brand, but also sends a strong signal for European cohesion and the international reach of sport.

 

From Germany to Europe – a vision becomes reality

What began as a national project with the German Olympic Sports Confederation is now ready for the next step. Sporteurope.TV is becoming a pan-European platform that unites sport from Europe, in Europe and for European fans.

‘Never has the European idea been more present, never has European sport been more diverse. Now is the time to reunite the entire sporting world – and celebrate it together with the fans on one platform,’ says Björn Beinhauer, Managing Director of DOSB New Media GmbH.

 

The platform remains true to its roots

The core principle of the offering remains unchanged: tens of thousands of hours of live and on-demand content for free, plus a pay model that is perfectly suited to the current times. Viewers only pay for what they really want to watch – without long-term subscriptions or automatic renewals. This offers users maximum flexibility and control, and is thus tailored to the needs of modern sports fans.

‘We have shown in Germany that our model works – for athletes and associations as well as for fans. It reflects the spirit of the times and the changing expectations of users,’ said Beinhauer. "Now is the time to extend this success to Europe. Europe has never been as important as it is today. The cohesion of nations, the exchange between cultures and mutual support are all united through sport. Sporteurope.TV will be a platform that promotes these values more strongly than ever before."

Sporteurope.TV is set to become the central streaming destination for European sport in the coming years. The new name is not only a commitment to geographical expansion, but also a symbol of the further development and broader diversity of the programme.

The online sports channel will bring together leagues, competitions and sports from all over Europe and offer users an even wider range of content – from regional championships to major international events.
