From May 9 to 25, the best ice hockey nations in the world will be fighting for the title at the 2025 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship - and Sportdeutschland.TV will be right in the middle of it: All 64 games live, 43 of them exclusively on the streaming platform. From the opening game to the grand final, fans won't miss a single decision. Three experienced ice hockey commentators, supported by two Olympic silver heroes, will accompany the tournament. Live conferences from new TV studio

A special highlight: for the first time, Sportdeutschland.TV will be broadcasting from the brand new “Barmenia-Gothaer TV Studio”. With its innovative look, the studio will be the heart of the coverage. The official partner BarmeniaGothaer will also be the presenter and namesake of the studio and an integral part of all broadcasts of the Ice Hockey World Championship on Sportdeutschland.TV!

Just like last year, all 64 matches of the World Cup will be available on the online sports channel, and fans can look forward to an exciting live conference next May! Accompanied by a commentator and expert duo, the streaming provider will bring the World Championship feeling into your living room.

In addition to at least eight live conferences, all other top matches will also be commented on individually. As is usual for Sportdeutschland.TV, all matches will be available to watch directly afterwards as video-on-demand. The streaming provider also publishes highlight videos of all matches on its own YouTube channel.

 

Two silver medal winners from the 2018 Winter Olympics take part

It's getting Olympic on Sportdeutschland.TV! With Frank Mauer and Christian “Iceman” Ehrhoff, two DEB silver heroes from the 2018 Winter Olympics are on duty as experts. Mauer was already part of the Sportdeutschland.TV-team at the 2024 Ice Hockey World Championships. The “Iceman” is making his debut with the streaming provider. Ehrhoff brings plenty of international experience from over 750 NHL games to the microphone.

Ice hockey fans can also look forward to a strong team in the commentary booth. Sportdeutschland.TV welcomes a trio of Constantin Eckner, Tobi Fischbeck and Christoph Fetzer to its own platform. The three experienced commentators all worked at last year's World Championship and are also the permanent team for the Champions Hockey League on the online sports channel. Early booking discount for all ice hockey fans - only until April 27

The IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship 2025 on Sportdeutschland.TV is only available in Germany and Austria. Fans can watch the Ice Hockey World Championship on their computer via browser, in the smartphone app (Android and iOS) or on their connected TV using the Smart TV app.
