The US Open remains on SPORTEUROPE.TV: Partnership extended early through to 2030
Exclusive free-to-air and pay-TV rights in Germany and Austria through to 2030 – Boris Becker and Matthias Stach remain on board.
Munich, September 3, 2026 – The US Open will remain on SPORTEUROPE.TV through to 2030, extending its long-standing partnership with the USTA for an additional three years. With this early extension, SPORTEUROPE.TV secures the exclusive free-to-air and pay-TV rights in Germany and Austria from 2028 through 2030, an agreement negotiated by the USTA’s international media rights partner, IMG.
“We love the US Open, and that’s why we’re especially pleased that this outstanding partnership with the USTA is continuing,” says Björn Beinhauer, CEO of SPORTEUROPE.TV. “The US Open stands for great tennis, great stories, and great energy, making it a perfect fit for what we aim to offer our fans through SPORTEUROPE.TV. The fact that we’ve already been able to extend this partnership through to 2030 is a true milestone for us. We look forward to many more unforgettable US Open moments and to continuing to shape the future of sports broadcasting together with our partners.”
The agreement also ensures continuity in a total of six licensed markets. In addition to exclusive free-to-air and pay-TV rights in Germany and Austria, the partnership includes non-exclusive pay-TV rights in Switzerland, Luxembourg, Liechtenstein, and South Tyrol. SPORTEUROPE.TV will thus continue its long-term coverage of one of the world’s biggest tennis tournaments.
Kirsten Corio, Chief Commercial Officer, USTA: "SportEurope is a trusted partner of the US Open, and we're excited for that relationship to continue. SportEurope reaches an important audience of great tennis fans, and we're looking forward to all of the ways we can work together to elevate coverage of the sport and the US Open for years to come."
Boris Becker and Matthias Stach remain on board
SPORTEUROPE.TV is also committed to continuity within its editorial team Boris Becker and Matthias Stach, who have extended their collaboration with SPORTEUROPE.TV and will continue to provide analysis, insights and their tennis expertise for the US Open in the future.
As a result, two of the defining voices of US Open coverage to date will remain a long-term part of the tennis programming on SPORTEUROPE.TV.
Comprehensive Coverage on SPORTEUROPE.TV
The new rights agreement includes comprehensive live and on-demand coverage on SPORTEUROPE.TV. All US Open matches will be broadcast live - from qualifying rounds through to singles, doubles, junior competitions. This means tennis fans can watch every match of the tournament live on SPORTEUROPE.TV. With this early renewal, SPORTEUROPE.TV is already ensuring long-term planning certainty beyond the current rights period. Starting in 2028, SPORTEUROPE.TV will hold the exclusive free-to-air and pay-TV rights in Germany and Austria.
This long-term extension of the US Open rights thus underscores both the expansion of SPORTEUROPE.TV’s premium sports portfolio and the platform’s role as a rights and distribution partner in the European sports media market.
